Board breaking is an art in itself. We use it to apply the Theory of Power to our techniques. To prevent injuries, it is imperative that that student uses mental focus, body control, and proper striking tools.
An instructor must always be present when students are practicing breaking.
Students must be 13 years or older in order to break boards. Students should not break any earlier than this due to their bones not being mature enough to withstand the impact.
Proper breaking techniques and etiquette become apart of the testing requirements once you receive your green belt.
